Displaying Japanese on English Versions of Windows or Macintosh Operating Software
Japanese can usually be displayed correctly on an English-version Windows XP or Mac OS X platform so long as Japanese fonts have been properly configured. However, with some DTP applications, formats differ between the Japanese and English versions of the same versions of the software. In such cases, the Japanese created on a Japanese version of the DTP application will not be displayed correctly on the English version. We recommend that you consult with your translation company when you require the translation of something created on a specific DTP application.
